Ajika, the best and most natural spicy condiment to come from Caucasian cuisine aims to revolutionise the UK spice market. It’s new! It’s different! And you can discover all you need to know about it right here!

More on Ajika spices…

Ajika is essentially a spice that has existed for centuries in the regions of the Caucasus with traditional varieties coming from Abkhazia in the South Caucasus. Our Ajika spices come as varieties of chilli and herb pastes very much based on generation-old  Abkhazian  recipes. We use  delicious and very specific spice blends to capture the unique aroma and distinct flavour of  the Ajika spices we have known and loved since our childhood.

Ajika spices have a wealth of applications as they can be used in a  variety of ways to suit all  culinary needs. It’s  a versatile ingredient that can be used instead of salt for most dishes, and with such a broad flavour, Ajika lends itself perfectly to any cuisine whether it be cooked or uncooked. Ajika is perfect as a spread on sandwiches and wonderful as a rub or marinade on chicken, meat and fish. Not only that, but Ajika also makes a refreshing salad dressing, it’s amazing as a dip, or just as a seasoning for sauces, stews and soups. The list is endless. Ajika makes a fabulous and easy addition to anything that needs that extra bite. You literally just add it! Its appetising aroma alone is enough to make you want to try it.

Our small jars of these superb Ajika spices are just bursting with tantalising flavour and they come in three varieties. We offer Ajika HOT, Ajika MILD and Ajika GREEN. The mild variety is for those who want the same flavour as the original hot, but less of the heat. The green offers a variation on flavour as there are more herbs to balance the subtle heat, but it still has the same wealth of applications. Although all three varieties  have a good kick to them, they capture a perfect balance between heat and flavour. And best of all, Ajika leaves a wonderful warm after taste that just leaves you wanting more.

Ajika Hot is where the action is at. Lovingly created with a temperature enough to satisfy most chili lovers without taking away from the distinct taste you have come to love.

Our green Ajika chilli and herb paste is a great compliment to the hot and mild. With more herbs to add to its colour and variation on flavour, we find it goes perfectly with lamb.

Ajika spices will be a revelation for the UK spice market…

Ajika is already popular in many countries of the world. Caucasians, Russians, Ukrainians, Latvians and Turks know it and love it, so we know it will be a big hit in Western cuisine.

Tourists we’ve met visiting Abkhazia from all over the Globe, on trying Ajika for the first time, see it as a revelation. They end up bombarding locals with questions of “what is this?” “How’s it made”? “Where can I get some”? They even make sure they take plenty back with them on their journeys home, just like native Caucasians who never leave their homeland without stocking up on their beloved Ajika spice. I’ve met many Brits who treasure the stash they have, knowing they won’t be getting more any time soon once it’s finished, and have been longing to get the real deal closer to home.

So, for those of you in the UK and Europe who already know Ajika but just don’t where to get the proper stuff, and for those who have yet to discover the wonder of this special spicy condiment, which goes so well with pretty much everything, look no further! It’s authentic, it’s delicious and it is genuinely different! You need to try it to believe it!
